Honda History

From miniature Civics that once roamed the earth to modern-day electric SUVs with the power of a caffeinated cheetah, this isn’t just a newsletter—it’s a love story written in oil changes and anniversary odometers. Follow the escapades of our beloved club members as they restore, celebrate, almost purchase, and absolutely adore their Hondas (and occasionally mow their lawns with historic fervor). Whether it’s bidding farewell to a club member or begging for donations to keep the dream alive, we promise a joyride filled with nostalgia, chaos, and high-octane heart

It’s almost agonizingly small and looks dowdy to modern eyes, but the first-generation Honda Civic—like this one spotted in Santa Barbara, California—changed the world.

The Civic wasn’t the first Honda car. The first Honda cars sold in America were barely cars. They had dinky 598cc, 36-horsepower two-cylinder engines that groaned on like overloaded rock polishers. And the S600 was super-tiny at only 125 inches over a 78.75-inch wheelbase while riding on tiny tires wrapped around 10-inch diameter wheels.

My fellow Honda enthusiasts, we are looking forward to Spring and many changes coming our way. I must apologize for the late delivery of the newsletter. Been busy restoring my Civic and raising two families.

This June, we celebrate one club member's 20th anniversary of his Silver Steed:

This July, we celebrate another club member's 20th anniversary of his oldie goldie:

What an accomplishment these two have had, and yet still never let down by the reliability and performance of Honda.

One member is going to be celebrating year 3 of owning the Grom and may ride it this season.

DFS went ahead and bought another Honda Accord- 2008 V6 is all we need to say, and the rest is just happiness.

Our buddy George almost had his life changed and bought a Honda, but due to unforeseen PH bills he was not able to afford it. Bob will be leaving the Utah Chapter of Hondas, and we say, See YA!!

Let’s dive into EVs and Honda. Honda has forever been an innovator of new concepts and passions, but what do we think of this new vehicle? The Honda Prologue SUV is going to be hitting showrooms this spring and it is going to be all-electric. This wild machine delivers a sporty driving experience with a tech-rich cabin. 288 HP and 0-99 in 4.3 seconds.

It is that time of year to dust off the old Honda mower and maybe change the oil in the old girl. Here is a link to the Honda Mower of which this read alone will change your life and possibly make you want to never buy a craftsman again.

Some may stand on the hill of hesitation, others end up on the mountain of regret, but my fellow Honda members, I need your donations to keep my Honda Dreams alive and the club afloat.
